Hi i have posted a couple of times but i am just wondering if anyone can give me an idea of Skiptons Mortgage application process. We have had our valuation instructed for monday and im just wondering if things can typically go wrong after this. On their tracker page it says the underwrite is pending as the require information but we have given everything they've asked for.

Could it be that they are waiting on the valuation before making an offer or underwriting? Just quite confused by the process.

The property valuation, i,e, suitability as security for the loan, is key to the whole process. All the boxes have to be ticked.

Just an update my mortgage advisor spoke to skipton and they are unwilling to lend on that property as there is evidance of japanese knotweed. They did their survey yesterday it was both a valuation but the mortgage came with a free survey. The Skipton said the decline a mortage recently for a property 2 doors down which was due to japanese knotweed. We're pretty gutted, what are our options?
