Having had a biomass installation carried out by a Hetas and RECC registered company the last thing I expected was for the installation to be dangerous. Further I really did not expect RECC to fail to assist me in getting the problems put right or to be left 10k out of pocket - but I am. RECC gave me promises, assurances and all have been worthless. The company has ceased trading and neither RECC or Hetas will give me the details of the company's public liability insurance so I can make a claim. I have an Arbitration ruling in my favour for both the money and the insurance details but this is a worthless piece of paper it seems. i am now looking at suing RECC as they would appear to have made promises they have no intention of keeping. Be wary of those who assure you at all RECC is unenforceable and useless. Anyone else had a similar problem??
