Kensington Mortgage fees and secuirity charge

Today I received a letter from Kensington mortgage company who took over my mortgage from GE money over a year ago. In that time I have not missed any payments and GE informed me all existing terms and conditions would be honoured
Today I received a letter showing I had overpaid my account by £20 to date but demanding £1660 in fees and security charges that I have failed to pay and threatening repossession.
At no point did I receive anything about this and any fees on outset were paid to GE
When I look on my credit file they have now marked my account as 5 months in arrears and as such my cresit score has plummeted.
Has anyone any idea what this letter refers to and how I can.owe £1660 on an account that is overpaid.
Im really worried as I dont have the money to pay this amount nor do I think it is correct but the office isnt open over the weekend to reaolve
Thanks in advance

You should phone Kensington asap as they will no doubt explain what's happening.

Once you've heard their version of events you'll be better placed to decide what action to take.

Might be a useful website to call after you have spoken to Kensington on Monday

The FCA do not handle consumer issues on an individual basis. So, best to contact kensington on Monday and ask them.
