Hello all
I previously posted about Our difficulty getting a mortgage.
The housing association broker told us they it was mainly
Due to a previous default.
but my bank TSB is fine to lend us the money as long that we have the 15% deposit and it's mainly due to my husband nationality.
I'm a French citizen and he's non-EEA with an indefinite leave to remain.
Anyone know which banks are more flexible about
Foreigners.
He's got 8 years in uk,always working!
I'm very surprised about this outcome.
Thanks all for your help.

With ILR, at least three years in the UK and an EU Citizen, any lender will lend.I am a mortgage broker. They will but with an 85 LVT!
Any others banks more flexible ?
We have a currently a 90 LVT.
And we will need to save at least for 18 month to get the 85 LVT!0 -
Loan to value is only restricted where an applicant does not have ILR or has not been living continuously in the UK for the last three years and only then by one or two lenders.
You should have access to all lenders at all LTV levels provided you satisfy the other parts of the lender's criteria.I am a mortgage broker. Perhaps your credit score/s have restricted the lending. The nationality doesn't have an impact.Slummy mummy!0
