Hi guys my car had smoke coming from the right on my ford ka a few weeks back, got home and water was all over on different things so refilled and. Put cap back on as didn't seem to be in tight everything seemed fine and no issues, I noticed in the past when it rains a lot and I am in traffic I get a little smile on bonnet for a minute which I was told is normal for every car and to not worrie but yesterday and today I did my journey home, yesterday took about 30 mins as bit of traffic I motoway but today only took just kver 15 but as the same point I was at these lights which is a dip under a bright so your on a ramp going up it smoked from what looked like the front, moved off and went and got home and no smoke coming out? Checked few hours after it did it yesterday as wanted had not gone down and too was still tight. Is this a sign I could need a new car? It when it did it I found my car went a little warmer but not sights come on atall. Seems to be now it's very hot weather.

Thanks for reading and it's a 2003 ford ka

Also to add as been reading a few comments I hardly use my hand break I keep my foot down on Brantley and clutch even at lights, but I did use the hand brake on this occasion to try and see if would make a difference and today it did seem to smoke a little more than yesterday with the hand brake on.

No it's a little warm at 17C or so, hot is in July and August when it gets to 28C or so.

You were taking it to a garage. Did you?. Smoke and steam are different and are caused by different reasons. You were advised to stop next time there is a problem and look under the bonnet to see where the smoke or steam is coming from. Did you do this?.

Yep, you need a new car. Probably a Bentley ( not a brantley ), look after it and it'll do you proud.

Seriously, if you can re-write your original question in intelligible English we may be able to offer some advice.

Sorry I don't man Bentley, car stopped steaming 2 weeks ago after refilling and tightening the cap up.

Tuesday I drove home from work shock took me 30 minutes as I was in a bit of stop start traffic on the motorway, when I was almost hole there is a part which dips down under a railway bridge which has lights on so your stopped at the lights on a hill, my car started to have a slight smoke coming from middle of bonnet, started driving and went, got home and was fine.

Yesterday did the same journey but not as bad traffic but at the same point it did it a little more, this occasion I put my hand brake on which I admit I hardly use even though I should, again starting driving and stopped.

It has slightly had a little smoke Come from the bonnet when I have been on the motorway stop start on a rainy day in which I got told was normal for any car.

I have checked the car water tank and it's still tipped up at the maximum point.

My car is a ford ka 2003

    Thanks
