Need some information on how lenders deposit check works

Hello my partner and I have saved a good deposit recently in our joint savings account, but not being able to purchase a property for a few more months we chose to split the deposit to gain more interest in our own account. I wondered when we go for a mortgage what account would they need to see the evidence for the deposit I.e in our savings before we split it and if so how many months statement. Also we have been adding to our individual accounts so our deposit has grown would they need statements for this too and if so how many months? Sorry for going on
