Poundshop stuff is always trial and error.... I have some good poundshop ones at the moment but most of the stuff I have bought has been tat and ended up as landfill. If you can afford them then Lock n Lock boxes from LAkeland and other places are really good quality and a good investment. I also have a set of boxes from IKEA they have white bases and red lids and cost 1.50 for 3 sandwich boxes. THe lids are fiddly to get used to, but good quality otherwise.0

You can buy authentic Tupperware quite cheaply on Ebay.
I have had Tupperware since the early 1970's and it is still going strong.
As far as I can remember, it has a lifelong guarantee.
It seals properly when you put the lid on and food keeps fresh for a lot longer than in the cheaper containers.
Felines are my favourite

Best place to buy Tuppaware is at a boot sale I have bought lots of bits over the years for a fraction of their normal cost. I have in my kitchen two long green boxes with lids that I bought about 15 years ago for about a pound, and one hold most of my cakes or at Chistmas, sausage rolls, and the other I have used weekly filled with cold water and peeled potato's.This one goes into the fridge and I use the spuds as I need them during the week.I have one spud peeling session a week to fill it up and thats it .Instant spuds when you want .Change the cold water everyday and the spuds last beautifully.
spud bashing is not one of my favourite jobs so half an hour a week on a sunday listening to the Archers on the radio is my maximum0
