Wednesday 20th April. What small DFW things will you do today?

When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.
But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free.
Examples could be hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important!

Good morning frugal pals :hello:
Sunshine beaming through the windows
was horrified DH had put the heating on  went straight back off again.
Today will mainly look like:
Check banking, surveys and FPL it'll be tight until payday next Friday, but it'll be ok.
Pop to wholesaler, having a load of people round for a bbq later, will be much cheaper than going out, will use lots of stuff we already have
Quick tidy round lounge before people arrive
Check DD has been set up for boiler cover. Saved £11 a month and £27.50 cashback has tracked :T
Cancel other boiler cover DD now I have cancelled cover
Eye out for 3 people I called yesterday to call me back - hum, not overly hopeful. Now I know why I dislike speaking to people on the phone. Takes forever to get anything done. One was for a free will, and despite being an 'official nominated solicitor' woman know nothing about it and said just come along anyway as its only £180 - err, no I called about a free will
See if anything on April/annoying things to do. Managed 4 yesterday :T
Think that's about all, check back later. Enjoy the sunshine folks. PF0 -

Hi All,
Lovely sunny day here although chilly in the shade.
Spoke to the council and they won't assist with the guarantor situation. I'm going to be job hunting to up my income which should solve most of the problem. It just means going back to work in the City, long hours, not seeing the children, requiring childcare for all three which fits around school/nursery and baby. Not sure what else I can do xDMP Started June 20160 -

I shall start things off gently by saying that today I phoned the gym and cancelled my membership! I have also packaged up two books that are being returned to Amaz0n. Baby steps!Collect Moments Not Things0 -
Morning all ... still in bed as I type this.. lovely
Tasks for the day:
- open up another bank account so can keep main acc for DD/SO only and new account for spending money
- cook from home
- pampering session at home - use up some of my expensive toiletries.. Oh the money that is literally being poured down the drain:eek: Never again especially as you can make things at home which are cheaper and less full of chemicals as well..

Hope everyone has a lovely day:):)Debt outstanding [STRIKE]£3491.[/STRIKE] £3303

Me again.... Having a rubbish day.
DS2 has spent the whole day crying, think he is teething and nothing I do is comforting him
On the nursery run with DD, the neighbour had decided to join her 'witch' friend which made me feel intimidated and uncomfortable. Just want things to change now, it's making me feel sick everyday
:( DMP Started June 20160 -
Hi all,
MTC - hugs. teething is very trying. You're doing a great job as a Mum. Better than your neighbour as you're teaching your children to respect other people.
Today:
> I went for an internal interview for a promotion to manager
> got some fuel & recorded in YNAB
> arranged to work from home for the next few days as I'm struggling to get around on crutches.
Enjoy the rest of the sunny day all! xNew total: £24,006
I will do this.0
