Online expertise and advice websites?

Hi there,
I just found a website called Ether that lets its users register and sell their advice on basically any topic, users are paid for phone calls or email, and using blog posts and reviews you can market your skill set to earn a bit more.
I thought it sounded great, anyone can join and I had already thought of three areas of knowledge I could draw from but then I noticed that it looks like only people living in the USA could use it.
Has anyone found a similar site that is worldwide or available to residents of the UK?
As someone without a degree I find such opportunities hard to come by even though I have completed various courses and have a lot of experience, other similar websites I have found seem to just be legal advise or doing specific jobs for people which is a lot more time consuming and harder to fit around work.
