how many sheets of gelatine= 3 tbsp?

I want to do some turkish delight.
I've found some gelatine sheets lurking inthe cupboard and have 4 sheets available.
The recipe says '3tbsp', which is then soaked in water.
How many sheets is the equivalent of 3tbsp??
The back of the packet says 1/2 oz of leaf gelatine (4 sheets ) will set 1 pint of water so, 2 sheets for this recipe???
this is the recipe if it helps for reference

Tesco have rose water on BOGOF.......I now have over 2pints of the stuff to find recipes for - or I'm consigned to making turkish delight every day for the foreseeable future!! :rotfl:

Hi, it's annoying when no one answers isn't it ! Ithought someone else would so I didn't bother - I looked up gelatine on Google and this is what I found:
6 sheets gelatine is equal to 3teaspoons of gelatine, which is a 10g sachet. This will 'soft set' 480ml/16 fluid oz liquid.
Could you do some nice face thing with rosewater, why not put it into Google and see, I'm sure you aren't destined for a future only eating Turkish Delight ! HTH.0 -
be aware there are different ratings of sheets though.
o depends on that.
all my old recipes are in sheets(its whats used in the trade) IIRC you get bronze, silver & gold0 -

well, sadly 2 sheets to 300ml of water didn't work. It kind of half set but when I tipped it, it all just ran into the sink.
I've bought some sachets of gelatine, I'm going to try again.
The only thing I know though is that I put the right amount of rose water in, it needed a bit more than the recipe said."Stay Wonky":D

Does it say on the side of the gelatine pack how much to use?
As this has fallen from the front page of OS, I'll add it to the existing thread to keepideas togetrher:rudolf: Sheep, pigs, hens and bees on our Teesdale smallholding :rudolf:0 -
