Clydesdale & Optima Legal

I've just had our offer of remortgage from Clydesdale confirmed by our broker. It's taken a total of 6 weeks from application to get here. Our next hoop to jump through is with Clydesdales solicitors, Optima. We are waiting for them to request redemption figure for our second charge.
They have already received our mortgage redemption but have not even requested the second charge redemption. Told me last week they wont request this until they have the offer as allegedly the second charge lender, Optimum, charge for this service.
This now has potential of further delaying things and we want it all tied up by end of month. Optima Legal are awful to deal with, when their call centre answers the phone they are generally disinterested. Our case executive never answers the phone, never responds to emails.
I'm at a loss how to get things moving now the offer is confirmed. I have discussed with my broker but they appear to have limited influence here. Anyway of escalating in Clydesdale or Optima, I'm hoping somebody may have had some success here!
