Waitrose - Valid Until Date on Voucher confusion

I have a myWaitrose discount voucher that is printed as "valid until April 17, 2016". I assume that means it expired yesterday (16/4/16 at 23:59) and cannot be used?

I would argue that it is valid on the 17th ie. the word 'until' refers to the last day it can be used. This is how I would interpret it and would have no qualms using it on the 17th.

I'd do into Waitrose today and spend it it now. Theyll be open at 10.00am.

Just got back from Waitrose and the voucher was rejected. My interpretation was unfortunately correct - it means valid until the date reaches April 17th.

I would of also thought until suggested it was valid until that day, therefore including the 17th April...

i used vouchers in Asda today that said valid until 12th June. I have also often used vouchers in Tesco on the date it says it is valid until and have never had a problem.
