LGPS removal of NI rebate - effect on state pension

Please can someone help? I apolgise if this has already been answered but I haven't been able to find the answer. I have checked on the LGPS and Gov. Website
If I continue to pay into the LGPS, without the NI rebate, and pay the standard rate of NI does this actually go towards increasing my state pension?
