On the other hand, if one of the purposes is to teach ones soon responsibility, the first place to start would be that all laws should be followed. If being a relation means that the wage is lower, or the risks are less well managed, then that isn't showing any responsibility. Or respect. Both are a two way process and it's valuable for young people to learn about their rights at work so that they are better prepared for adult life.

I agree

Yes we are family but work is a professional matter for us and will be for son as well. He wants to go into law eventually so will be pretty clued up before long I expect!
