I've been on to the Insolvency helpline again this morning and yet again have been conflicting advice so I thought I'd come straight to the horses mouth.
I was paying every month a debit debit of £476 to my friend for rental of his flat, no tenancy agreement due to probs I've now "moved" and am paying less rent a month £200. Now if and when I go bankrupt whats the likely hood of the OR contacting my friend and ex-flatmate and demanding to know where this money was going and if I had a legal tenancy agreement? The person I'm living with now is happy to let the OR know I am living with her and contributing £200 each month.
I've decided today that sometimes knowing too much is too much (if you know what I mean) my head is so full of stuff it's scary.

Whilst I'm sure that the OR would have the power to refer any 'questionable' payments to the relevant department, for further examination, I would imagine, in your case, that the OR would be much more interested, and pleased, in the fact that you have moved 'in order to save money'.
If asked - simply tell the OR that you did not have a tenancy agreement.I am NOT, nor do I profess to be, a Qualified Debt Adviser. I have made MANY mistakes and have OFTEN been the unwitting victim of the the shamefull tactics of the Financial Industry.
If any of my experiences, or the knowledge that I have gained from those experiences, can help anyone who finds themselves in similar circumstances, then my experiences have not been in vain.
