ASDA Career Break

I've been working as ASDA for a year and a half now, to pay my way through university.
I've been accepted to go on my universities Erasmus program to study in Germany for 4/5 months later in the year.

Would I be able to apply for a career break or any type of extended leave? Because it's been a great job so far stability wise and being able to keep my job will be a depending factor on whether or not I study abroad.

Thanks!

As mum2one says, the only way to find out is to ask ASDA.

When asking, I wouldn't use the term "career break" - it's inappropriate in this situation.

I agree with missbiggles, what you have at ASDA is a job, not a career. I doubt very much if they will agree when they will simply replace you with another worker but if you're going anyway it can't hurt to ask. If you have a good record with them then they'll surely look favourably on you if you reapply on your return.
