Bad Credit Score or Report Success

Hi all
Just wanted to let you all know that even though we have both had blips on our credit score, our broker secured us an amazing 1.64% fixed for two years mortgage with Halifax!
This is of course subject to valuation but I wanted to let you all know that it doesn't matter if you have some issues, go to someone who knows the market well and they will guide you!
Before this I was so close to just applying to Aldermore (great mortgages dont get me wrong) but the rate was 3.68% fixed for 2 years.
This will save us c£300 a month. Well worth the fee of £1,000 (of which Halifax is paying nearly £600).
Just good luck everyone, have faith, save hard, pay off those debts and you will get there.
Thank you to everyone for all your support and help

We've had the same - well only I had the blips. One £200 default dropping off in May and one £58 mail order default 3.5 years old. We got approved on the same day as we applied subject to valuation. Definitely worth getting a good broker0

I have several 'late payment' accounts from 18 months ago and DH had a default from 2013. He still has a CC with £4.5k and a loan £5k too.
Best of luck!
