Hi
I have been sent some settlement figures. Would it be possible to push for a lower settlement?
I have
Capquest: £683 down to £592
Rockwell: £3,070 down to £2500
Westcot: £2,774 down to 2,080
Bryan Carters: £619 down to £530
I still have a few more to do so any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Chris

It is always possible to negotiate, and most creditors will have some flexibility in their F&F offers, in the same way that it is advised that a debtor's first offer should always be slightly lower than he/she can afford, in order to allow for some negotiation.
So, unless you are happy with, and can afford, these offers, then it might be worth offering a slightly lower sum, although I would not go ridiculously low in case the creditors withdraw their offer - Your Call really.
Just make sure that any agreed settlement is confirmed as 'Full & Final Settlement' before paying anything - Accept NO OTHER WORDING.I am NOT, nor do I profess to be, a Qualified Debt Adviser. I have made MANY mistakes and have OFTEN been the unwitting victim of the the shamefull tactics of the Financial Industry.
If any of my experiences, or the knowledge that I have gained from those experiences, can help anyone who finds themselves in similar circumstances, then my experiences have not been in vain.
