Bank Account

Hi All,
Quick question re my bank account, I've been on a payment plan with payplan for almost 2 years now however due to a recent change of circumstances I now am going bankrupt next week. When I set my payment plan up I stopped using my old bank account and opened a new one with the Co-op - a cashminder one. I've never had any of my debts linked to that account. Does anyone know if the OR is likely to let me keep it or will they have an interest in it?
Thanks!

Hi Diva,
I think the OR will let you keep it but it is likely to be frozen for a few days, if you have any money in there that you will be needing over the next few days following BR then I think the best thing to do would be to withdraw some money, that way you will have enough to live on. The OR can fax a letter (as far as I know) to the Co-Op to tell them that he has no interest in the account.
Hope that helps, good luck and let us know how you get on!!
