Historic Civil Service Pension Qualifying Period

I was a Civil Servant in Whitehall for a couple of years back in the 60s. Would this short period of time qualify me for any benefits accrued over the years? (I guess probably not, but the thought's been nagging away at me.)

Possibly not, back in the 60s you needed to be over 26 with at least 5 years service before qualifying for preserved benefits0
