Need some advice and reassurance

About 3 years ago me and DH were in a great position financially and finally starting to chip (quite quickly) away at the debt we had from previous years. It was agreat feeling to have that light at the end of the tunnel and to see things moving in the right direction.
Then something happenned that has changed the course of our planned financial freedom massively.
I took a little job - to help speed up the debt free process and one of my co-workers came into work very pleased with herself as she had won some money the night before on a casino site..............you can guess where this went.
Now years on, our debt level is around the same it was then, if not a fraction more, our bills have increased due to DH assuming we were quite flush so he bought a brand new car and increased the mortgage payments.
We are by no means struggling on paper when i do all the sums, but yet here i sit 15 days away from payday wondering where the hell all the money has gone and how i cant seem to control it anymore.
I have £528 to last me until the 26th which i know is more than enough but i dont know how to move forward with all this.
So i am back oon here hoping for some reassurance and support as I am determined to fix this and I know that I can do it - i think i just need to believe in myself xx

Believing in yourself won't do anything : you and "DH" need to both believe in what your bank statements are telling you.
Just go through your outgoings and identify those which are discretionary and those which you must pay.
Decide which non-essential payments to reduce or discontinue.
It really is a very simple exercise.Forgotten but not gone.0 -
Couple of things spring to mind:
i) Have you stopped visiting the casino sites?
ii) Have you made OH aware of your situation?
The first because they're insidious, and can be hard to escape.
The second because, as a team you have some options. If you've been overpaying your mortgage, putting the payments back to normal, or even couple of months' mortgage holiday might put you back on the straight and narrow.0
