Need help working out prices of weights

Hi,
If something is £10.99 per kg and it weighs 276g, how much would it cost me? Would it be £3.17 or 'around' £2.80?
Also, what would be 256g? Maybe close to £3.07 or around £2.58?
Thanks.

Thanks.
I don't know the exact size of the 250g item but a retailer charged me exactly £3.17 for 276g and £3.07 for 250-ish'g. Wasn't sure if I'd been overcharged for both.
How would I split £10.99 into each gram myself? It's a little confusing understanding the whole thing.0 -
Open windows calculator, enter:
10.99 divided by 1000 = 0.01099
0.01099 pence per gram0 -
Cheers, much appreciated.0
