Accommodation on Skye for single traveller ?

Does anyone know of any accommodation on Skye that doesn't charge extra for a person travelling on their own ?

My friend has had a look online and found a few B&Bs, but all want to charge the double rate for him styaing on his own. Now fair enough if it was peak season, or if it was a BIT more, but a lot are wanting to charge £50-£60 a night and wont even given him a discount since he wont be taking 2 full breakfasts ;)

At a push, he would stay in a private room at a hostel, but even that is looking about £50 a night to buy a room with 4 beds and for that he may aswell stay at the B&B.

So I was wondering if anyone new of any hidden gems that he could stay at for no more than £25 or £30 a night ?

Thanks in advance
