Hi guys,
I had a message on Games Radar saying I had won this watch from the comp here:
https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/5428942
I emailed my details, but didn't hear anything back so I sent them a message on their contact us page just to make sure they got my info as I was so excited!
They got back to me the next day saying that the person who sent me the message was actually on holiday and they had been experiencing some fraudulent activity with their emails.
I replied asking whether I'd been scammed and had not actually won the comp, and was told that they would check with the team and get back to me (that was Wednesday).
Has anyone else had any problems with GamesRadar?
I'm not sure what to do about it, any advice would be appreciated please.

If you have given a scammer your details you will have be extra cautious about any future e-mails as they can use the info you have given now to make them look more legit in the future.
Assuming you just use a free/throwaway e-mail address you could start switching to a new one.
If they get back and say you are ok I would still be concerned that they have a data protection issue and have not informed their users of the risk.0 -
Just an update - I had a call today saying I have won and they are sending my Limited Edition Batman watch out this week!
Apparently the email problems they had didn't affect the posts from GamesRadar accounts on their page so my deets are safe and I've got an awesome watch0 -
