Tablet Buying Advice + Chromecast compatibility

I am in the market for a new tablet and I have looked around and think the Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 or the Ipad mini 4 are about the right size for my needs.

However, one of my mains uses for the tablet will be to use with Google Chromecast to cast a chrome tab (with embedded video) that is open on my tablet, onto my TV.

Can anyone that owns either of these two advise as to whether you can do this?

I am not sure if the Chromecast needs a browser in desktop type mode. Alternatively, can anyone point me in the direction of a tablet that might be able to do this for me?

I have the chromecast app on both my Samsung galaxy tab 4 ( 7inch ) and my Ipad air ( 1st gen ) and both work perfectly also have it on my HTC mobile and again works fine


should be fine on what you are planning on getting

Thanks for the feedback, I am probably leaning towards the Ipad mini 4 on the basis that I have a lot of apple stuff already and it is also cheaper too.

I did read somewhere that you couldnt cast Netflix, Youtube and other video hosting sites which was the big stumbling block.
