Tax and P45

I left my job at the start of March and went working for a different company. I only stuck the new job for a week and left as I didn't like it. I didn't hand in my P45 as I was only there a week. They have paid me for the week I was there, but no tax has come out.
Since then, I have gone back to my old job for a higher salary than when I was previously there.
My question is now what do I do in regards to tax, I guess I'll have to get on the phone to them?
I've still got my P45 when I left my original job! :wall:

If it were me I'd forget about the P45 and fill in a P46. The tax office will sort it out and send a tax code accordingly.0

Your P45 is irrelevant now as the tax year has changed, a P45 can only be used in the tax year that it was issued. Complete a New Starter Checklist, the replacement for the P46 which no longer exists.0

Not strictly true. There are instructions for the employer about what to do with P45s when handed in whether they are for the current tax year or a past tax year. For example if a P45 is handed in dated for last tax year by an employee who starts before 25 May the employer takes the tax code add 40 to it and uses that code on a cumulative basis.
You can see all the instructions here....
