Wouldn't he be entitled to tax credits on that wage? I could be wrong but I think you might be.

    Hello welcome!
I don't see as bleak a picture as you :)
Cancel sky & virgin. Simple line rental & broadband is £16.99 plus you can get cashback. So there's another £88 quid.
Push yourself - how much does petrol cost on average? So £300 on groceries, £100 on petrol and then that's £288 a month to overpay on your interest charging card! Or you could put some into an emergency fund. When July comes and you get an extra £300 a month don't increase your outgoings - pay it off the cards. You could potentially be over paying by £588 each month in just 3 months! That's great.
Anything you can stick on eBay? I would have laughed if someone said I did but I've made over £1000 in the last year through selling my belongings!
It might be strict on you but it's only while you play catch up with yourself. Two kids and a smaller income than your family and we are definitely getting there xxx
    Loan 1 £5200/£8000
    Loan 2 £300/£5800
    Total £5500/£13800

The 300 from the loan repayments, 60 from sky and 25 from trust fund would give nearly an extra 400 a month to pay off cc debt. A full soa would show if this is realistic.

You also need to be honest about the cause of the problem, it's not because your wife recently lost her job nor because you can't get a 0% cc, it's because you have been overspending for at least the last 5 years.
loose does not rhyme with choose but lose does and is the word you meant to write.

Is it an option for your wife to increase her income - take a smaller second job? A Saturday or Sunday? I am assuming her part time job works well at the moment because it stops you needing child care or before/after school care (?)
The second job wouldn't need to be related to what she is trained in, it is just to bring in an extra couple of £ a month. It would be a sacrifice working a weekend shift, but that's what I would do in this situation.
