Good luck to FC, hope the test results are what you wish for.

ref my post about waitrose broccoli. todays one which is marked at 375g 56p actually weighed exactly 700g my best so far
On that subject, I nearly always weigh bagged produce to get the heaviest I can find - including single things like cucumbers.

It is surprising the difference in weight you can get - often 20% over the stated amount !

how long do you normally wait for a reply from emailing head office at asda? I emailed the ceo nearly 2 weeks ago and haven't heard anything at all....

Chrisv does the odd 1 have to be on offer at waities please?

Not necessarily tom. APG would just compare 10 of the 11, and give £2.14 APG, same as buying 12 of the same but one less filler :)

Good morning all, another gloriously sunny day :D

Can someone please tell me why I have decided to decorate? Our room needs decorating, problem is if we do that then we would come out to grotty woodwork on the landing, the landing then runs into the stairs and dining room as it is all open plan, so I have to sand and paint 8 door frames, two window frames, the banisters and skirting and two wardrobe doors, and the loft hatch and frame. Obviously I also have to paint the ceiling and walls in our room, and when all that is done I have to paint the bathroom. Oh, and I also have 6 doors to sand down and varnish (although I am rather hoping OH will agree to changing those, but it is extremely unlikely!)

This includes moving furniture and a lot of stuff that OH has stacked on one side of the dining room, including phones, phone systems and other related stuff.

So, why did I even start this

I feel your pain, last week I finally painted my teenage daughters room, she has been nagging me for months. I couldn't bring myself to do it, as I knew that once I started I would want/need to do more of the house and I am the only one that will do the painting..even though I really don't enjoy it.
So I did the ceiling, skirting and 3 walls, yesterday my sister and her fella put up some wallpaper for me. All this would be fine if I wasn't 38 weeks pregnant. My daughter and a friend did help a bit.
It is my birthday in 3 days time (so wishing I could have a few drinks...I need it:rotfl:) and I will have a newborn in 5 days time  if not before...
Ah well, gotta move..off to do my last shift at work.
Have a good day all xx

Good, because I've just thought about it before arriving just now on this thread. I wondered whether 479 pages (which has become 240-odd on signing in) would see people moving sneakily to a new thread. I don't know if I'd be permitted to start one (tomorrow), for my hard work as it would be 'convenient' to start a new M list off then.

Don't see why not and it would be good for keeping your lists on the first page where everyone can find them easily. :)

Savvy, I think you would be perfect to start the new thread :D

I really must get on, had to go and get some shopping, then finally found out who to send a picture of a broken pyrex dish to. It was one I won on the Colmans comp to win one of 2000 of them, delivered by Yodel and left on the doorstep late one evening without even ringing the bell, IH found it there when he left at 6 am, was contacting colmans and being ignored, then looked closely at the letter that came with it and contacted Unlilever, have now sent of the pics so should get somewhere :D

So now I have run out of excuses and have to go and rearrange the dining room so I can get to the woodwork :(
What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare
