So you know the feeling where by you are hanging onto a rail on the edge of a cliff, perfectly safe but your imagination says the ground under your feet is starting to shift away ... That one

Our next hol we are going from Liverpool instead of the usual Southampton which in theory sounds good as Liverpool is 45 mins on the train rather than 4 hours and 2 trains.

The e tickets arrived a week or so ago and the boarding time is very late in the afternoon so initially we were just going to show up mid afternoon and just wait. I will be like a cat on a hot tin roof until we actually get into Liverpool.
Then we got a letter to say the ship is doing a re position so it's coming up from Falmouth on the day so it won't even get into Liverpool until 3 in the afternoon so there is no point at all in going too early.

Then OH said we needed to keep an eye on the trains because of a work to rule so depending on this we might actually have to take an earlier train and just wait it out anyway. We won't know until a day or 2 before

Then this morning OH going through his work texts this morning and he has to go to a funeral on that morning - slotted between dropping the cats off at the cattery and getting the Liverpool train.
So for the first few days of this hols he is going to be depressed or if the train service goes to pot and he has to go straight from the crematorium, collect me and cases to catch an earlier train then he is going to be depressed that he could not talk to people afterwards.

The chap is a driver who got a virulent form of meningitis last weekend (same version as eldest child's m-I-l had) but he didn't make it, only in his 50s. OH has been a bit down about it, similar age

Sure it's going to be all OK on the day ...

So technically you are a half- millionaire :)
