Surely you expect this of her by now rose :( Don't let her get to you again, unfortunately it is just what she is like and no amount of complaining is going to change this now. You keep the boat steady, she rocks it from time to time. I think you cope magnificently and I do not believe she could manage as well as you do.

What a fab way of putting it :T. Rose you do your best for your mum and your sister has different priorities , she will never change just make the most of what she does. Take care of yourself as well xx.

Morning di, the cadbury's/G&Bs chocolate, actimel/yogurts and Quorn pieces still look good to go and havent updated this morning.

Have seen confirmation shops on chocolate, actimel/yogurts but not on quorn but could have just missed them with all the crap.

I can confirm Quorn chicken pieces worked for me last night against Morries and Quorn sausages AvT. Sorry I didn't post my shop but it won't copy and paste on an iPad since they changed the APG, it highlights the entire page  I didn't buy anything interesting other than what's already been posted. Thanks OPs for Quorn, choc, jellies and toothpaste

If they have never been used for nesting is it worth taking about half of them out come winter?

It was slightly annoying when we had to paint our eaves one year, we had a house martin nest there that had to go and they never came back :( We don't tend to get too many small birds in the garden whatever I put out, I have a feeder full of peanuts, seeds and suet balls. We have too many pigeons round here, we have a pair of wood pigeons that come to the garden, we have magpies that come too, and we get a jay that likes the suet balls and we have an occasional visit from a woodpecker.

Yes that's a good idea, although four of them were new this winter. I was going to replace some that didn't look too good but when I lifted the first one down there was a great tit roosting in it.so DH put them up aswell. We have been here sixteen years and started off with one box so I don't know what the problem is.
I'm envious of your woodpecker I've seen three here but not regular visitors unfortunately. We do have a good mixture though. We also have nesting magpies a couple of gardens down. We have a sparrowhawk too and the other night after walking Bobby we sat in the garden with a glass of wine and it flew down the side of the house and as it turned into the garden it clearly wasn't expecting us to be sat there it nearly clipped my ear it was so close!
