Do you think it would be fine if we held small competitions for the art work or would this upset parents if their child did not win ?

I think that would be a great idea :)

One for all the elite who love to craft and bake.

Could you give me ideas of what craft and baking items are best to be included in a Craft show. Last year not many people entered, I was wondering if this was down to the categories?

If it's aimed at kids, maybe facepainting or something like that?

In Bristol, there is a mascot company that do Frozen characters and all sorts of others - maybe something along those lines, a meet and greet with Anna and Elsa will keep [STRIKE]kids out of the way[/STRIKE] entertained for hours

This is a great idea QoC.....I've seen these characters at a children's birthday party and they keep little ones amused for ages:T

A lot of events like fairs that we've been to as a family have an area with some free craft or colouring - can keep the kids quiet and still long enough for us to enjoy a coffee if we're lucky!

Over the Easter weekend our local shopping centre had a space like this where kids could colour and craft face masks and crowns. Pretty sure you'd be able to pick these up cheaply off t'internet, or even print some off yourselves via a template.

I'm sure someone will have a tried and tested list shogun but to kick off with how about

    Victoria sponge
    Fruit loaf
    Cup cakes
    Chocolate cake
    Children's cake

I'm just trying to think what they have on the Archers:rotfl:

Maybe give all entrants a little prize for entering, with big prizes for the main winners ?
