    So many, many years ago my grandmother brought me a cake on a serving plate from this set. She went home leaving the plate behind. Afterwards I kept saying to her that I needed to bring her plate back to her as it matched her tea set. She wasn't in a hurry for it and I would often travel on the train to visit her, so carrying a china plate wasn't easy. Then she passed away and the plate never got returned to the tea set. I haven't had the heart to throw it out, but it doesn't match anything I have so it has been in the cupboard for at least 20 years.

    Sometimes these things are meant to be; hornetgirl left her box of goodies unsealed and it will easily fit in. Granny would have been delighted that it is being used and that it is being returned to her native Wales.
