:idea:If someone really wants the Red Salmon and maybe the Pink and all the other good items that are available in M, then maybe buy in A on a straight comparison shop and then go via HQ - with reference to reports of people on hotdeals etc. clearly managing to buy it in M around mid-week as clearly something is wrong with the APG when it guarantees to be 10% cheaper and M clearly does have the product available in some of its stores on the last price check day this week. They are not 10% cheaper than M and, from the result, clearly cannot guarantee it in this situation. Could go on to challenge the advertising (though they don't have much of that anymore) through the advertising watchdog although that won't award anyone any compensation - they'll probably be able to defend the system by saying that generally it does pick products up correctly. Though whether evidence of a complete non-comparison or total wrong competitor prices shop (e.g. all the M RTCs) could pass muster I wouldn't know:rotfl:. Even in cases where there have it may be said probably been incorrect SELs and the complainant has been the competitor that sold the product (that should know what its own price really was), the ASA has still rejected the complaint because SELs are the fairest way to obtain a price and, if the collectors did obtain that price, it seems the ASA will accept that:

That's also an example of useful information about how price comparison schemes collect prices.0 -
