Lovely day - washing done :)

Poor Dilys had a tummy full of tumours :( We beat up ourselves thinking we missed any signs she was ill, but looking back she was as bright as a button up to 2 days ago.

:o This may sound daft but when ever I lose a pet I always gather some of their hairs up & seal them in an envelope (I used to sew them into the back of my cross stitches) so frantically tore around house yesterday trying to locate her distinctive fur.
Then I remembered she had got under the covers with me in bed in the morning & found some :T:T:T
I still have a bit of my Dilys forever ♥

Our fluffy after he went I never washed his basket blanket, he used to sleep by the front door and I never touched his blanket. It was like a little shrine.
Only now years later Treacle, our walk by cat who came to stay has taken to sleeping in the same basket so as he sheds very black hair I had to wash the blanket so its time to move on.

Thanks everyone for entering and offering to fund charity :T

Added a fun dimension to the thread today :T

I had a quiet day today. DS2 and houseguest are incapable of making decisions so asking them to chose one horse from a list of 40 took all day! :D :rotfl:

They both had winners and were demanding their winnings in cash after the race  despite the bets being put on with OHs online account and him paying :rotfl: of course he never had any cash so I had to cough up  something not quite right there  :rotfl:

You don't realise how much you do until you don't have one to use.

I like to split my washing but have had to mix a bit to get a few loads done while borrowing. Still done 4 a week and that's only one lot of towels so far.

Can see my friends machine being on all day tomorrow. :rotfl:

Yes, doing laundry is such a fundamental part if the daily routine. If it piles up in the bathroom it's really irksome.
Our old washer died a week before we went on holiday. In theory we could have waited until after and then did the usual research and got a good priced one after the hols but the thought of having no washer for a week was impossible - so we got an over priced one from a local store but at least it was delivered next day :)
