Down south you are looking at £10,000 an acre +
Really ?
The value of the wood and the cost saving / investment to make it cost saving...don't actually add up.
However, you can stay for 28 days a year camping or with caravan ( who is counting) so free days away as and when you want.
The wood isn't free either when you calculate the cost of getting there and back.
So i'm looking at France and Belgium for a much better deal.Back to square one, no apg, no comment.0 -
Well :hello:! Thanks for opening a new thread - it's allowed me more easily to move my list posts whilst the old thread was still open:T. It lands wherever it lands today - just not going to get time to sort it all out today but will have to move it all later and get it into 'six-in-a-row' - I can more easily move now to somewhere else on this thread now it's on here, so don't worry about the splitting up of the posts at the moment!
I got back, eventually, in the middle of the evening but had to catch up with all the glitching and therefore I've been delayed even more as having to fit (a) my evening meal and (b) a shop into it before midnight.
I thought the price collection wasn't too bad (at least the first store:D) as I've got used to the new offers and it was just going to be a quick collection to see if they were still on. I may have come back with more changes from now yesterday than I had from Monday!:rotfl:
Fortunately the RTC items that I thought might disappear after only two days - the Hot Dogs and the tinned fish - are still around. They should work on the APG into the beginning of next week.
Instead, it's the RTCs that I wasn't thinking about that might now be about to become very risky - the ones on the Tracker bars, the chocolate deli. biscuits and other biscuits - one or two of these items at random, might now go N/A.
I've lost a few of these items now myself. I am sure that if I had kept going to more and more Ms, had it been possible to do that in the time available on Wednesday, I would have found most, if not all, of them back again - just like I did with the RTC ice creams earlier in the year. I now no longer have the Cadbury Snack Shortcake, either of the Maryland Cookies or either of the McVities Breakfast Fruit & Oat Bakes (I note A has sneaked an mbuy of 2 for £3 onto those but still nowhere near as good as the 50p in M is/was - or even the whoopsied 15p pack I got several weeks ago which is why I was never going for the 50p comp. in the first place:rotfl:). I've also lost one of the 44p McVities Deli Chocolates - randomly I have one flavour but not the other from among my selected stores.
I also thought that I had lost the Tracker Bars. However, I then found a near-errant SEL for one of the Tracker Bars at 10p:j. I only found a SEL for the White Chocolate version only, but then the store in which I found it - I only ever saw White Chocolate in there in the first place and picked up the Chocolate Chip version from elsewhere. Of course, that other store is now completely OOS and has no SELs at all - no evidence of any Tracker Bars in that store or any of the others for me now - and just this one SEL and absolutely no stock at all in one store. The SEL is not even in the 'right' aisle - but is in a different place to where the Tracker Bars were originally. I think that, if any M does have Chocolate Chip still around, it is going to be 10p. I will therefore put both on the list at Avs M at 10p. However, what are the chances of the APG finding an M that happens to have a 10p SEL in it? I think it must be extremely unlikely indeed. And, yet, I have found one such M. However, I would be 10p on the White Chocolate and N/A on the Chocolate Chip.
I reckon that the Tracker Bars are going to have gone (and by that I mean no trace or any evidence of their existence at all - no SELs for APG collectors or anyone else to pick them up) from the vast majority of Ms now. The APG, I understand, checks six stores. I ended up with four - and found only this one SEL for one version only in one of the stores. Other than that, there was no trace of them whatsoever in any of my other stores. Of course, it's only a hunch and I've no way of knowing whether it is anywhere near correct or whether my sample was representative, or over-representative or under-representative, however I reckon that the Tracker Bars might now be in only about 1 store in 30. That might just be a SEL - no stock - and it could be the Chocolate Chip that is randomly picked up and not the White Chocolate - but visiting six stores may be very likely to have no trace of them now in any of them.
It could well be that vs 50p from Monday worked and they could be going N/A. Or one or other of them, really lucky indeed if both, could be going to 10p on the APG. Don't forget however that they have now gone down by a very large percentage and they may wait while they faff around, checking to see if that is the correct price and until then remain at 50p in the hope of getting 10p on Monday which of course they won't since whilst they are almost gone now they will be gone completely by then! I do not know what happens if they go completely no trace in all their six stores - perhaps they still keep the previous collection's 50p, even if OOS, for 'up to 7 days'?
It could be 50p on each of them now, but very soon 10p on one and 50p on the other version. Or one could become an N/A and the other 50p. Or they could be both N/A or something else. All in all, the Tracker Bars and the biscuits, they may well lose one or two of the items from all the six stores now and this collection is the point at which they might not work like I suspect they may all have worked before.
It also seems to me currently that M looks like it may not be having the Hill's Fruit Shortcake or Hill's Shorties anymore. The range of the 2 for 70p biscuits, separately, seems to be changing a bit - and I have the same range consistent across my stores.
For those of you that think that 7 pack of chocolates at £1.25 is good, there are some completely other chocolate 6 pack (4+2 extra) on £1 in M. (£1.25 for 7 works out at about £1.07:eek: per 6!) I thought about this though: one of them is the Kit Kat 4 Finger. It's a 6 pack, yet I would expect Kit Kat Chunky, not merely a 4 Finger, to be not a 6 pack but an 8 pack (4+100% extra free) and the Finger version weigh less each than the Chunkys do! So, maybe not quite as much chocolate as I would be wishing to get for £1! The Aero Bubblys are even lower weight each:rotfl:.
The Rustlers BBQ Rib that seemed to go from £1 to £1.85 and back again depending on which store I visited - depending on how old the stock in the specific stores was - has now gone to 2 for £2:wall:. The Rustler's Cheese Burger now appears to be £1 and 2 for £2. This seems odd, however it is a mix and match offer and the individual price of other items is more than £1 so, what it seems to mean is that you can in effect make another of the items in the offer £1 if you also buy a Rustler's Cheese Burger. In that sense, the £1 and 2 for £2 pricing doesn't seem as strange as it may appear.
I'm going to have to sort this out on the list - it's mix and match with the larger Philadelphias that should be £1 each (if they are to be at the right offer price for me), the Alpro Almond chilled drinks (1L) and the Nestle desserts amongst other items. I don't bother with small Babybels at 2 for £2:rotfl::eek:.
The Wyke Mature Cheddar and the Wyke Mature Farmhouse Cheddar are not the same item. So, the Wyke Mature Cheddar was another item wrongly removed from the list:rotfl:. It's still £5/kg so should have been kept on the list! (It will go back on, whenever I get round to it.) Meanwhile, the French Brie cheese that was kept on the list at £5/kg has now gone up in price! So, the one that was kept will be removed and the one that was removed will be put back on. In fact, there are two versions of the French Brie cheese - the ones at the counter appear to have gone up to £5.60/kg - I had one store that was still showing £5/kg there but I don't believe it to be correct. There is also some prepacked version that has gone up to £7/kg. Both therefore appear to have increased. Of course, I had useless Store number 2 in between that stocked neither of them:rotfl:.
The Pork Mince may be about to start to fail from now on in. This should be comparing - in fact it shouldn't as they were picking up the Regular Fat version in error and comparing to it from their (A's) Lean version:rotfl: - to £1.83. It has taken me some time to track down the M product at £1.83 on Wednesday. I finally found it in the fourth store I went on to check. It appears that most Ms are changing weight:( and now moving to a 250g version:(:( at £1.43 (may have that wrong as it is from memory, can't place my eyes immediately upon it in my information at the moment - I was right on the plaice btw - spot on, £2.62!:rotfl: - somehow I just seem to have got the correct price stuck in my head:rotfl::D) and 2 for £2 on the new pork mince. This is no good, as if it changes pack size it will not compare and it will end the glitch.
The glitch may already been about to end at this point. I did not find any of the right size pork mince now in three Ms. The majority of my stores (which, as there were 4, therefore has to be 3) did have a SEL for the pork mince that was being compared - the remaining store didn't have the product or any SEL at all - and, in all my stores that had the SEL, the SEL said "PRICED". However, there was no product to be able to find the price - except in my fourth store which, finally, revealed that M do still have the old version. It's still available in M and it is still £1.83 (having increased slightly last year). However, it may well be that there is no product and, if there are SELs they just say "Priced", in the APG stores and, if that's so, I don't see how they will pick up the product at all. It may start failing. That said, there have been times when my Ms (and I was checking fewer of them than yesterday) were temporarily OOS of the £1.75/£1.83 product and didn't have any SEL for it - I've been unable to find it on a couple of my price collections and yet it was shown to be working on the APG from those same dates. So, they might find it even though I do not. That's happened before. However, I have noticed that M seems to be moving pack size and, with the new pack in most stores for me, in fact all of them - the final store had both versions - the old one may not be around as much as it was before. This may make it more likely that the APG will start no longer finding it and it may start to fail. It may fail from this collection onwards. I think it would have been picked up on Monday. M are, it seems, now changing pack size and it will, if that is correct, doubtless disappear from all Ms in due course (fairly quickly I would have thought - give a week or so, not much more - since it is a fresh meat product). It already took me some time to find it yesterday - in the sense that it only turned up at my fourth store - and I'd been N/A on it through three stores earlier throughout the day. (Of course, I don't go N/A these days as I "know" items are still available even when I don't find them.)
I think it was a good collection (not too bad:)!) - but it did go on a bit in the further stores, with it expanding and picking more items and went on and on - I could have spent all day in M on this one - and there have definitely been some price changes in M in the last two days - the Glorious soups have gone back on btw and the Tropicana Trop50s are now £1 each. Also, I have decided to reinstate the 400g Macaroni Cheese etc. having now had a different view from another store. They are still £1 - and I knew they were and are until 10th April - however the problem is that I had three stores on Monday, all of them had changed the SEL to full price! I have had a different view today though - and I do have a store with £1 offer SELs until 10th April still up! (I've also had the odd store putting full price on the Chicago Deep Dish pizzas even though they are still on £1 until 10th April.) Note that the Potato Gratin is, I believe, £1.81 - so I will be deleting that one and not reinstating it.
There is an additional frozen Quorn product now on offer in M, and I have 10p More points offer to add to frozen Quorns in general. There are also 10p More points in M on the Linda McCartney frozen products, including the two that are on £1 offer each.
And, finally, I found the Seafood Sauce!:T:j:D Of course, you will have no idea what I'm going on about or why I'm happy at that unless I now explain. You may remember that I only found this a few weeks ago (at a faraway store) and added it onto my list. It's the larger jar (that should compare from A's version). After then, I found it in my own main City store. Brilliant:T - so I can now track it can't I? :(No, I could not. The next collection it promptly vanished without trace from there. However :)I found it in another main store I use - even though there was no stock and it was just a price label and a "temporarily OOS" but at least I'll go by that! Inevitably, that SEL disappeared the next time and left me with no evidence of the product - and by now it is not in my City store at all. It wasn't in either of my two other nearest stores.
Therefore, tbh, I have had no trace of this product for the last three weeks - but I had kept it on my list despite this because of my "knowing" that it will still be available elsewhere in M. I was therefore more happy to see it turn up, stock and SEL (of course unchanged at £1 exactly like I thought it would be) in one of the nearby town stores I sometimes use. So, I have it back again! And, for now, I can track it:D! Always kept on the list already:rotfl:;).0 -

Cant remember the size, but it was cheap for what it was. About 15 years ago. Is it not MORE THAN 28 days IN A ROW? just to stop people living on it?? I now want to buy an appartment in Belgium, as I probably spend more of my time off work there than I do in the UK, but cant afford it really, and who knows what would happen if we exit the Eu (not that that is a conversation for here  )“Quis custodiet ipsos custodes?”

I'm fine, I hope you are too.:rotfl:
I think you definitely will be done before I finish updating my list. :eek:I'm, supposedly, going on another long trip out to M today (I say "" as it's now gone 2am!) and therefore won't be back till very late. I might start the updating of the list sometime towards the weekend!
I've got an error to correct in that I've now found the Strathmore on RTC at 61p in M is a still version not a sparkling one as I have it - so that comparison is wrong. I have found an additional flavour (of the still version) too.
I will also mention Princes Tuna Mayonnaise & Sweetcorn tin (160g) has now gone to 50p in M, since I stand no chance of updating the list itself very soon. Since msm still has £1 for M, I am taking it that this has only gone on 50p on Wednesday (I did not see it before) so stands no chance of working until at least an update is done on the APG.
And the Munch Bunch Huge Tubes that I mentioned earlier - M has both versions of those, at £1 each.0
