Hi can the new online bankruptcy application be used when you have moved abroad, outside EU.
Thanks.
Thanks.

HI DJE1,
The new online form doesn't change the rules surrounding bankruptcy and the fact that your centre of main interest still needs to be relevant to England or Wales. This means that if you live outside of the European Union, you can only make yourself bankrupt in England or Wales if you have lived or carried on a business in England or Wales at any time in the three years before you apply for bankruptcy.

As NDL say if you fall with in the guidelines then you can.
I can't find anything at the moment on proceedure after you have done so though.

From the Insolvency Service updated guide to Bankruptcy:
"2.1 If you don’t live in England or Wales
You can declare yourself bankrupt in England or Wales if you live outside the EU or in Denmark.
You can’t declare yourself bankrupt in England or Wales if you live somewhere else in the EU, Scotland or Northern Ireland."0
