Payplan Timescales

Hi guys!!
This is my first post, however have been reading this site for months now and thanks to you guys have finally plucked up the courage to call payplan to try and sort myself out!!!

So I had my interview with Payplan on Saturday, which was very helpful and come to the decision that my husband and I will go down the IVA route with our 5k of unsecured debt. The advisor from payplan was very helpful and I said that I would like to get the ball rolling with the IVA as soon as possible. He told me that there was some info that he would need to send me and something for us to sign to authorise payplan to work on our behalf. He said that he would try and email the info to us for us to print off as this would be the quickest way. He did keep emphasising the word TRY to email.

Anyway to cut a long story short, I was just wondering how long it usually taked to receive this info and stuff from Payplan? I know it may seem a little bit of a trivial question, however this is the first time in months I have felt positive and able o do something about it and just want to get started.
I emailed Payolan last night to inform that I have not yet received anything but no reply. I am fully aware how stretched they are, but was just wondering about timescales.

Sorry if I rambled a bit
Thanks

I think it took me about 2 months for the whole process from my first phone call to Payplan though to my creditors meeting and IVA acceptance. About 4-5 working days for info to be sent to you. I assume the £5k debt is a mistake? It would need to be much more than that to make an IVA viable.
Debt as at 12th July 2006 - £61,345
    Debt free 21st Oct 2011.

    All thanks to :money:

  • Hi,
This is my first ever entry on any forum but just wondered if anyone else had stuggled with payplan:mad:
I have been with them for 3.5yrs, and my debt doesn't seem to have fone down as much as I was told, I am still getting 'nasty' letters as I have not been sent a new income and expenditure form and I find it really hard to contact them.
i know i sound like I am moaning, but it took a heck of a lot of courage to take a positive step to clear my debts and now I really don't know what else to do.
I also had a situation where I was paying £440 to pp, and they were only paying £380 to my creidtors. It is now sorted but this went on for 6mths.
Any ideas of what to do??
