Please can someone help?!
I will shortly be going bankrupt but The C.A.B say I'll be allowed to carry on trading with my ebay shop, I'll be able to open a new credit only bank account to make deposits from paypal, but does anyone know if I'll be able to keep my paypal account going

I haven't heard of anyone having a problem with paypal accounts themselves, and I've heard of plenty who have kept them going.Free/impartial debt advice: National Debtline | StepChange Debt Charity | Find your local CAB

Best to make sure that the account is at zero on BR day though, just in case.;)Free/impartial debt advice: National Debtline | StepChange Debt Charity | Find your local CAB

Hi CRZ,
We had no problems with our ebay or paypal accounts and we'd withdrawn some sizeable amounts out in the months before bankruptcy. I think the reason the O.R is not interested is because there's no credit element and paypal are not bothered because again there's no credit element involved so it's never going to result in a debt for them.

P.S. How do you get on with Turbo Lister 2 ??
EDIT: What fermi says is "spot on"; don't leave any large sums of money in paypal; you'll need it for essential expenditure.;)0 -
Well that's great news! I intend to put the shop on holiday settings while I go BR and am waiting for new bank a/c to be up and running, then I hope to just carry on.
I don't use Turbo Lister, just Selling Manager Pro. Most of my items are Buy it Now, so I dont have to worry about the placement of the listing, when customer does a search, my items only appear in the 'shop search' section, not main auction page. I list 2 of everything and if 1 sells I relist it straight away, as things come to end of their listing and appear in 'unsold' items, I bulk relist them, this way I know I always have 2 of everything listed and using the bulk relist saves loads of time.
My head is ready to burst right now with all the BR thing going on, I just cant focus on any one thing, but once it's all over, I hope to be able to spend more time concentrating on the shop and look forward to studying the whole of the site.

Mmmm... I have a PayPal account, mainly just for eBay sales when I get round to selling the odd thing. The problem is I now use it for the sale of my Grandad's book, so any online orders for it will go into my account and then I give him the money in cash.
I've got about £120 in there at the moment as I also sold my mobile phone to raise some cash for the BR fee, but I haven't transferred it to my bank account because I didn't want it being swallowed up if they don't let me keep my bank account...
Do you think the OR will tell me off and want the money? As some of it isn't really my money!
