The son will not bear the punishment for the father’s iniquity, nor will the father bear the punishment for the son’s iniquity; the righteousness of the righteous will be upon himself, and the wickedness of the wicked will be upon himself.0 -

'
Kim Philby, Britain’s most notorious cold war traitor, told an audience of East German spies after his defection that he was able to avoid being rumbled for so long because he had been “born into the British governing class”.
In a video recording of a speech given to Stasi agents in 1981, uncovered by the BBC, Philby also described how he was able to walk out of secret service headquarters every night with his briefcase stuffed with secret documents and reports.
The overall impression given by the excerpts of Philby’s speech broadcast so far by the BBC is of a British intelligence service staffed by ill-disciplined and inept upper-class twits.'
and the council estates of the UK are filled with illiterate benefit cheats. What's your point?Left is never right but I always am.0 -

...Kim Philby, Britain’s most notorious cold war traitor....
Well, he was a communist. Although I'm not certain he ever signed up for the CPGB, although he did canvass for the Labour Party at one time. I'm sure many of us are aware of the fact that many people on the British left were once of the opinion that the country should be run by another country. Some still do, I'd guess.. But a goodish number did not, and there is no need to seek to tarnish them all with Philby's example.
But there is no place on this thread for your anti-leftist diatribes.:)0 -

By the way if you are going to start on the British left's links with communism at least place it in the correct historical context .....Spanish Civil war.....rise of fascism in Europe....the love of Hitler by much of the Establishment .........Lord Rothermere etc etc etc!;)0 -
Surely there'll be no surprises in the documents, but interesting to see how the media will run it.
In the end there'll be a lot of guff and bluster, but rich c-words will remain rich c-words.They are an EYESORES!!!!0 -
