I am nearly at the end of my probation period. The company paid for me to go on a training course for two weeks. I never met my line manager. I am not a very confident person when speaking to people. Do you think I will pass my probation?

How could anyone on here know the answer to that?0 -
Don't worry about it. Probation means precisely nothing, nowadays (except that it might affect various aspects of your contract, if you get more leave or something when you have passed probation). Your employer can dismiss you on a whim at any time in the first two years of your employment.
That's the bad news, sorry. I agree that it's appalling. The good news is that many employers are hopeless at recording that you have passed or failed your probation - if you don't hear anything after the period, you can normally assume that you have passed.Ex board guide. Signature now changed (if you know, you know).0 -
