Has anyone yet done any shopping on Amazon Pantry?
http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/pantry/info
I've had a look through and prices are very competitive with main stream supermarkets. I do most of my shopping in Aldi but there are certain things I like buy which they unfortunately don't stock.
It seems Amazon could be just the ticket to fill that gap, saving me a lot of time and effort sourcing the bits I need at a good price without traipsing around various different supermarkets, each in a different town/city!
It takes the concept of online grocery shopping to a whole different level :money:

It appears to be only for prime members. Not sure I would want to buy enough to warrant £79 a year for prime membership.0

Well, I'm already a Prime member (£39 a year) and regularly utilise free next day deliveries 2-3 times a week plus all the extra HD & UHD movie content etc. Bargain in my eyes :j
ETA: I ordered something at 7pm last Saturday. It was delivered next day before noon on Easter Sunday free of charge. It was actually a gift for an unexpected Easter guest so Amazon saved the day when almost all other shops were shut :T
Not to mention all the box sets I've recently watched on AP which would otherwise have cost me literally hundreds if I had to buy the DVDs.0 -
I've used the Pantry option a few times now to stock up on items that they had a good price on, sometimes there is a limit to the number of any one item though.0

How do you get Prime for £39?0 -

Have to agree that Prime is brilliant, tv, music, free deliveries- I love it.
BBC what? Tesco what? Spotify what?
Great value! Off the watch Bosch and Vikings now.0 -
First Amazon Pantry order arrived this morning. Have to say I'm rather impressed at the prompt delivery, ordered yesterday evening and arrived before 10am today. Good sturdy, strong box and plenty of internal packaging (bubble wrap sleeves on glass bottles/jars) and cardboard sections and paper to prevent movement of items during transit.
I'll definitely be ordering again as it saves me so much time and effort being able to get everything I need (that I can't get in Aldi) at very competitive prices (equivalent or less than the promotional prices offered in various supermarkets) all in one place and delivered next day!0 -
I really like Amazon Pantry, but do find it a little limited. I hadn't realised before I had a look how few 'brands' I actually buy!0

I know what you mean. I stocked up on store cupboard items I regularly use which I can't buy in Aldi, but I may only buy them 2-3 times a year. For me the benefit was in being able to buy all these products from a single source that I'd have had to trawl several supermarkets across several towns to be able to buy at such low prices.
Not all supermarkets run promotional prices on products at the same time, hence how they (attempt to) entice people into their store with loss leaders. Amazon Pantry remove that element.0
