Hi, could someone help me work out what should be my holiday entitlement for 2016/17please?
contract says 25 days/187.5hours for full time, plus bank holiday in lieu days (only 6 BHs this coming year)
I work 26 hours a week over 4 days, and will be entitled to the 6 BH in lieu days as well.
Can you work out from this how many annual leave hours I should be entitled to please?
Thanks in advance

How many hours do full timers do.
Do you do the same hours each day.0 -
Full time get 5 weeks you get 5weeks at 24hr 120hr.
BH should be pro rata as well.
edit:
Should have been 26 hour weeks, 5*26 is 130hrs.0 -
So:
full-time staff work 37.5 hours/week (7.5 hours/day)
your average day is 6.5 hours.
Your pro rata for the 25 days (excluding bank holidays) they receive would be 25 x 26/37.5 = 17.33 days
17.33 days x 6.5 hours = 112.67 hours
If you really receive lieu days for all bank holidays, then you would get an additional 6 x 6.5 hours = 39 hours
Grand total of 151.67 hours
However you need to be sure that your contract does give you all the BH lieu time. It is possible but it could be that you would be entitled to only the 26/37.5 proportion of these too.0 -
GG your calcs are incorrect.
you can't prorata the days using hours.
If you want to do it in days you have to do the days pro rata,
4 days aweek is 4/5 of 25 20 days at 6.5 is 130hrs.0
