  • I think bigger the store like an Extra ,you get paid more than a metro.Plus the £5.22 plus the nightshift premium takes you well over the minmum wage.
    hope this helps.

    Thanks hun,

The £5.22 wouldn't make sense if you did daytime hours also, that's what confused me (doesn't take a lot to confuse me at the mo!)?

The store is becoming an Extra this month, so that's a good sign.

Am trying to work out my options at the mo, completely useless at decisions. Also, Marks and Spencer pay £8.05 on nights, so quite tempted to apply there ... decisions, decisions ... x

Don't know if this helps but I worked nights at Tesco 3 years ago and I was on roughly £13K a year.
Our dream has come true... :D
  • Just asked hubby it's more than 13k now.

Thanks guys ... I knew I'd get some help on here ...

Going to try to pop into the store tonight. Thing is, they are advertising for full time staff (the poster says there are several positions available), but I only want to work part time (two or three nights a week). So I'm going to have to have a chat with them and see what they say. I'm sure they would find others that might only want part time too! x
