Amazon Banning Customers For Returns 2016

Options
Just read about this on The Guardian website : - http://www.theguardian.com/money/2016/mar/18/banned-by-amazon-returning-faulty-goods-blocked-credit-balance

Seems Amazon are banning more and more customers now for this. Tbh now I'm hesitant myself to purchase anything more from them just in case I need to send it back !

This why most shops (they claim) take your details when returning items, so you don't try and take the p***.

This is one reason I prefer to purchase certain items in a physical store, you can try them for size and suitability, and don't rely on a mail or courier company to get them to your house, with all that entails.

Plus its harder to give them a fake address when shopping online! ;)

Ive never had a problem with Amazon - but then, I haven't returned anything!
I did however offer to return an item which had the wrong delivery address on - correct address, wrong name............and they told me to keep it! my grandson was the glad recipient of a new PS3 storage bag!

Returned a lot of books bought for the kindle. Never had a problem but always returned within a couple of hours and because of compatibility issues.

Hi everyone, thanks for your replies so far. I think I posted this thread in the wrong section and there is the exact same thread in the Consumer Rights Section :- https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/5439439

Please could both threads be merged. Thanks :)
