Packaged Bank Account.

once I changed DMP on the advice from the CAB they provided a list of all basic current accounts that were, and would've been available to me - saving me the monthly fee of £12.50 which provided no benefit other than having a current account with a debit card0

A £12.50 account would not have "provided no benefit" - you need to look at what it offered and then counter it e.g. travel insurance = no use if you can't afford to travel; car breakdown = no use with no car etc
Going into a DMP obviously a packaged account would be poor value vs a free one but the bank will not provide any proof that you didn't want it (i.e. they'll provide a copy of the form saying you agreed to it and were aware) so you need to be prepared to counter their evidenceSam Vimes' Boots Theory of Socioeconomic Unfairness:
People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.

Thanks for that, but the £12.50 was the monthly fee to have a bank account, it was verbally sold to me that no other bank would touch me because of poor credit - so no insurances or add ons! I'm awaiting the original sign up forms from GP...0

See that is silly from the bank as several offer very limited accounts with no fee and no credit available. I am not aware of any UK account where you'd pay and have no benefits at all. A packaged account would be the worst thing to give someone in a DMP. FOS would probably side with you in this scenarioSam Vimes' Boots Theory of Socioeconomic Unfairness:
