Do I Need to say I have been bankrupt ?

My bankruptcy does not drop off my credit report until March 2017 so a bit of a way to go as yet. I have noticed recently on certain forms that a question often appears '' have you ever been bankrupt'' May sound a silly question to ask you all but should this be answered 'honestly' with a 'yes' OR if the bankruptcy has disappeared from my file can I say 'no' ? Honesty always seems to be the best policy to me however this could hamper me at times.

Always answer yes if you are asked specifically. If you are not asked, then there is no onus on you to volunteer that information.

When you declared bankruptcy its a legal issue you signed papers in court etc..sooooo IF on anything the question stated "have you ever been or currently bakkrupt...or is someone in your house bankrupt or ever been" you will have to say yes...just because your bankruptcy will dissapear from the insolvency site and your credit files is irrelevent...there are other ways lenders etc can find out the truth
