Second residential mortgages

Hi,
My brother and I are planning on purchasing a property jointly. He is a first time buyer and I am currently a home owner.
As I understand it, because I am a home owner, we will not eligible for a FTB mortgage. At the same time however this is not a BTL purchase either as the property will be home to him and our folks and possibly a second home for me. I will not be charging rent from him.
However I'm really struggling to find a lender who advertises mortgage products which suits our situation. They are either FTB, remortgage or BTLs.
Who does one turn to for a second residential mortgage in times like this?
Any sugesstions/advise will be gratefully received.
Thanks!
