Obsessing about potential wins!!

Is it just me or does anyone else obsess over certain competitions?!
The random draws I don't worry about but any that take a bit of effort or creativity I can't get out of my head and I keep checking other entries if they are visible online and comparing them with mine.
I'm constantly thinking about the end date and turn on my computer whenever I have the chance to check for emails informing me of a win.
I think I may need to seek help!!!!
Is anyone else as bad as me??

Ha Ha that reminds me of me so much!! Not with many comps, but the rare ones that I put a lot of effort in I constantly go back and check/compare other entries and I find myself checking a few times each day right up to the closing date - sometimes I even know the closing date & date they notify you and get all anxious and excited incase I win - I check my emails every hour!
I'm glad to know it's not just me - my husband thinks there is something wrong with me lol.
I once entered a comp with Disney to win a trip to Florida and they were going to annouce 5 potential winners by 6pm on a particular day - I sat with my emails open from 5.30pm, nothing at all and at 6pm I nearly cried (because I thought my entry was fab!) - and at 6.01pm the email came through! Although I didn't win the main prize I did get a massive Disney bundle through the post.
So I know exactly what you mean - but I think that's part of the fun of comping0 -

being almost brought to tears doesn't sound like much fun!! but now I feel like I'm missing out on the emotional rollercoaster by using the old 'enter and forget' method!!0 -

Stick with "enter and forget", every comp checked back on wastes that time which could be spent entering another or just spending less time at the keyboard.0 -
I've had dreams about creative effort competitions i've entered. I had a dream about one competition to win a trip to Rio, I dreamt i hadn't won and was so outraged I woke myself up. I ended up winning in the end so it was all good. .
Normally i enter and forget but when i find a low entry comp and make effort I do find myself checking out other entries.Top wins in 2018: Trip to Iceland, helicopter ride over london, couples massage, £300 flight from Pringles, trip to Paris, cocktail making class and afternoon tea up the shard. .
Top wins in 2017:holiday to the Bahamas, trip to Paris, meal with champagne, a week in a manor house in France with £500 spending money.0 -
I enter and forget all about it, I like the surpriseJan Wins: .0

There was a photo effort comp for one of my fav shows at a local theatre. I entered straight away then spent the whole time compulsively checking social media for other entries. I was the only one and won. xD
That's the only time I've done it though.Best 2016 Wins - Nails Inc Bundle, Sebo Vacuum, Walking Dead Figure Subscription0 -
Sounds like so far only Dizzyc is as bad as me! That must have been a bittersweet moment when you got the email from Disney and had won a prize but not the holiday you'd hoped for.
There was an effort comp a while ago that announced the winners first names on Twitter and they said they would be in touch with them by email (I don't have a Twitter account myself). Two out of the 5 winners had the same name as me and it was quite a low entry comp so I was pretty convinced I must be one of them - I was constantly checking my emails but it wasn't me - gutted!
It's amazing that Helga14 dreamt she hadn't won then did - I hope you had an amazing time in Rio and so lucky that you were the only entry for the theatre comp Skadi - well done.
I do generally try to forget about all the other non effort ones though -well most of the time!0
