I am fuming today. So fuming I don't know if I want to hit someone or cry.
Things have been going well money wise. I got my overdraft paid off and for the first time in a long time ended the month in credit!
However this month I feel like I may as well not have bothered. Stupid f-ing Argos have filed a late payment on my credit file (I was a day out due to losing my card) So now I have an awful credit rating according to Noddle. I would have thought a late payment would be filed if I paid like a week or two late, not by a day!
What kills me even more is that a shared ownership flat came up in an area me and my fiance love and had a low deposit too. My parents agreed to lend us the money to do it. However I know that no mortgage lender would even touch me with a poor credit file and these shared ownership flats don't stay advertised for very long so that is that. The dream is over.
Now I have a battle to remove the late payment from my credit file. I highly doubt they will remove it which means that I am now screwed over for the next 6-7 years. Just what you need when you are about to plan a wedding!!
I am now at the point where I feel my file is battered I am now thinking of applying for a DMP rather than struggling away for the next 7 years of my life and just bite the bullet and go for one. My credit file is dead so might as well keep more of my wages to myself and pay everything off through one monthly payment to a DMP instead of killing myself with worry every month about trying to make money last and overpaying on cards etc.
Just as I take a step I get knocked back 2. I am so bored and fed up of being in debt now, I just want the misery to end!!0
