I've been asked about the fact that the link has a 'moneysavingexpert' code in it. And whether this means it's a tracking affiliate link that pays the site.

The answer is no. There is no commercial deal involved whatsoever; no payment is made to the site. The link has tracking software on as this deal is spcifically for MoneySavers and there are only 10,000 available and Moneywise wants to track that.

As a note; if ever there is an affiliate link at any point it has a * by it and a full explanation and a link to the How this site is financed article; (plus for techies you will see we use a special MSE tracking link - this isn't our tracking, it's moneywise's). So rest assured if you don't see the star then it's not an affiliate link (not that affiliate links ever change the recommendations in any way at all).

This is a special trial that (as far as I'm aware) isn't available elsehwere. Most magazine giveaways involve you setting up a Direct Debit and needing to cancel or you pay. When I agreed to do this with moneywise I ensured that there's no need for MoneySavers to sign up; do a trial or give financial details; just send your address and they send you a mag. Simple as that

While on their site after submitting details there is a link on the left for 3 issues for £1 and you can start it from the November issue if you are lucky enough to receive the free October one.
